“I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!”
Psalm 34:1-3
The children came to preschool on Tuesday morning with smiles and hugs for our team, excited for a new day of learning, singing, activities, and snack. The Bible story was David and Goliath. After reading the story, the children acted it out. We had a mighty David (a student) use his slingshot (with a soft pom pom ball) to take down Goliath (a teacher)! Each child got to make their own slingshot to take home and enjoyed a snack of licorice and cereal made to look like a slingshot and stones. While the ladies on our team led the children through the lesson and activity centers, the men continued to freshen up the paint on the outside of the church/school.

After a time of lunch and team devotion in God’s Word, we welcomed the older students for the after-school program. We were ready with a Goliath drawn on 9ft paper, scripture to read, application questions to discuss, more slingshots to make, snacks to eat, and a special treat to take home. Team member Kevin was Goliath as we acted out the Bible lesson in the afternoon. The students were so engaged, and asked to write down the “giants” (ie, fears, problems) in their lives and then next to them write, “God is bigger than my giants! God is my helper!”

For the battle is the Lord’s.
1 Samuel 17:47b
The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. Hebrews 13:6

Because today (Wednesday) is a holiday in the D.R., there is no school today, so we will be going to a local family’s home to paint the outside of their house. Please join us in praying:
That we recognize every opportunity to speak Truth and love
That this family knows the Lord loves them and cares for them
For continued health and protection for our team and those we minister to
For the rain to cease and our day of painting to be accomplished
We are so thankful for your continued support through prayer.
