The second day of camp!
Today at devotions, our group talked about the importance of creating relationships and being intentional with our conversations to create a connection. It’s hard to create connections when you don’t speak the same language as the person you are talking to, but Christ can do anything even through a smile or a hug.
The children were up and about ready to go early. They had their lesson and then spent time lin their groups talking about it. From 11:30 to 12:30 the younger kids went to the pool. The other kids spent their time playing basketball and soccer.
After lunch was swimming time for the older children. Tuesday was craft day for the girls. They all enjoyed creating their own designs on their backpacks and being creative. They were all so excited about the craft and were so artistic. We also pampered the little girls by painting their nails.
It’s really wonderful to see the counselors talking to the kids one-on-one, explaining the gospel to them.
There are over 200 campers and staff members. Bianca makes us delicious meals all day long. After dinner was game time for the children. The Panamanian workers taught them their Bible verse through songs and games. Their Bible verse for tonight was: Isaiah 30:21 “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” The day always ends with a gospel message.
