January 2020 Panama Trip - Day 5

Posted by Team Leader on

Hello Faithful Readers,

As day 4 comes to a close, there are thousands of stories that I could write about. It is so evident that God is at work in camp this week! There have been countless smiles shared and innumerable memories created during the short, 4 days at camp.

Today, our team handed out clothes to the campers, worked in the kitchen, organized a craft, spent time supervising the pool, ran the zipline, hung out with the equipantes, and loved on the campers. Thank God for giving our team the energy for all of these tasks. "but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31

Just yesterday, (too late to go in yesterday's blog) our team got to organize the equipantes night! A few members from our team decided on two played large group games to help the equipantes bond and get outside their comfort zone. First, the equipantes participated in a creative photo scavenger hunt. Then to close the night they played a fun, chaotic game with prizes hidden in saran wrap! I can tell you, being behind the camera all night and being able to capture a small piece of the overwhelming happiness, was a complete blessing.

Please pray for the team's energy levels to stay high so that we can worship God in every way He presents us. Also, please continue to pray for God to open the eyes and stir in the hearts of the kids, so they can see and receive His unconditional love.

Thank you for your ongoing support and prayers! Come back for more tomorrow!

Thank you for keeping us updated. I continue to pray God's blessings on your work there, and in the hearts of the campers who need to hear of Jesus.
