January 2020 Panama Trip - Day 3

Posted by Team Leader on

This is my second time in Panama, and I could not be happier to be back. This time I have the privilege to help a counselor with 15 girls. I mostly jump in when I can. On Monday night, I was able to sit with them before bed as their counselor got deep into the Gospel with them. It is so cool to see how God is connecting the dots. He brought me to a new school where I would learn most of the gospel in Spanish. Because of that I could understand the girl's questions about Jesus and the counselor explain things like the trinity and the crucifiction. It reminds me of when I was younger, just learning and wanting to know more and more about who Christ is. Through the salvation bracelets, they were able to learn about the powerful, and overwhelming love of Christ. Be praying for the strength of my counselor that she can find rest in Christ alone.

Just today our team was talking about the woman at the well and how she ran back (fully transformed) to the people who hurt her, and told them about Christ. So our prayer is that God will not only transform these children, but that he would light them on fire so that they can passionately go back to their families and places of hurt and tell them about the love and hope that they have received. Buenas tardes!
