Final Panama 2020 Week Two Post: 1/25 & 1/26

Posted by Team Leader on

The buses started rolling in Saturday morning to pick up the kids who now had new friends, happy memories, a suitcase full of dirty clothes and a deeper walk with God.  As they head back home we trust and pray that they will remember the beautiful Truth that God is good!  Each daily the me reminded all of us that.....

When life is scary, God is good.

When life is unjust, God is good

When life is sad, God is good.

When life changes, God is good.

When life is good, God is good.

On our journey back toward the airport, Amy, Brian, and Pastor Noel were dropped off to the Panama Canal since it is Amy and Pastor’s first time in Panama- pretty cool!!

We then went to an orphanage in Panama City near the airport, and Pastor Noel gave a Gospel presentation that the kids there just loved. It’s so amazing to hear their sweet laughter and amazement.  We got to talk briefly with some of the kids afterward and share some lollipops with them.  One of the girls told us that she reads her Bible a lot, but she doesn’t go to church because she has no opportunity to do so, which is just hard to hear.  Please pray for those kids!

We can testify that God has showered His love and goodness on each person this week - children, work crew, counselors, missionaries, staff and parents.  We are humbled to be part of God’s work and are so thankful for the prayers, support and donations of so many - what a blessing to serve our awesome God!

“In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” -John 1:4

“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”-‭‭James 1:27

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”‭‭-Ephesians‬ ‭3:20-21‬ ‭
