From God. For God.

What comes to your mind when you hear the word ‘stewardship’? For most people, the answer is money, but that isn’t the root of the biblical meaning.

True biblical stewardship is about your heart, and giving your best to God every day and in every way, including the important areas of time, talent and treasure.

Everyone has a gift, and each of us is to use that gift in a way that honors God and furthers the kingdom, as it says in Romans 12:4-8. Our desire is for every person in our church to discover his or her spiritual gifts, and use them in ways that bring them joy (Psalm 100:2, ESV).

If you’re not sure what your gifts are, you can take our spiritual gifts inventory, and we will be happy to discuss it with you and help you get connected to a serving opportunity that is best for you.

Take the Spiritual Gifts Assessment

If you’d like to easily search for open opportunities to serve at The Bible Chapel based on your spiritual gifts, we can help you do that, too! Just use our serving opportunity finder and you can search by campus, gifting, ministry, or all three to find where God is calling you to. The goal is to help you take the next step toward the joy of using your God-given talents and abilities to serve him in a way that brings great satisfaction and purpose, and carries out the Lord’s work.

Everything we have ultimately belongs to God (Psalm 24:1), and the Bible tells us that our resources should be used for his glory and that we cannot serve both God and money (Matthew6:24); but that truth can be hard to live out in today’s world. We are here to help you develop a healthy relationship with money and learn to position your finances and material goals under the lordship of Christ.

What direction do we get from the Bible on how to manage money and possessions? Does that align with cultural messages we see and hear? Can we be wrong with money, but right with God? What role does debt play in our lives? How do we balance planning for the future with trusting God now? How do we plan for our families' futures and teach our children to have a healthy relationship with money? Are we investing in things that will last, or things that are only temporal?

These are tough questions, but you don’t have to face them alone. We are developing a team of individuals who can help you navigate what the Bible says about money and possessions, and provide you with practical tools that will help you manage these resources in a God-honoring way. We also offer classes and seminars throughout the year to give you financial education and insight, and help you make the best decisions for you and your family as you live your life for Christ.
