Holding Fast

Hebrews 10:19-39


  • Positionally—“we have been sanctified” (10:10)
  • Progressively—“those who are being sanctified” (10:14)


  • “For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified” (10:14”
  • Our relationship with God is complete and accomplished.


  • “I will remember their sins . . . no more” (10:17)


Therefore—Sanctified. Perfected. Forgiven.

Confidenceparrhesia—boldness or freedom to speak

New—“freshly slain” prosphatos

House of God—refers to believers in OT and


The Challenge (Hebrews 10:19-25)

  • Let us draw near with assurance.
  • Let us hold fast the confession.
  • Let us not neglect meeting together.
