Thailand -Safe travels; landed.

Posted by Heather Magnotti on

God surely went ahead of us every step of the way. From timing of flights,  to our health, to shuttle timing, to all luggage arriving, to Maria picking us up perfect timing from Mae Sot airport.

We thank God for his Providence and Secure hands getting us here safely!

Maria, Gigi, and Grace (leader and mentors at Faith House) took us to the Myanmar border. This was an experience of smells and sites- food that made my stomach squeamish. But foods they waited in lines to buy and eat. I've been preparing sanitation and hygiene lessons that I will be sharing with some of the villagers this week. And this experience made my heart sink a bit as they have so many barriers to sanitation. Please pray for these people-most are Burmese refugees.

We then bought a few supplies and ate our official first Thai meal. (Breakfast was at hotel in Bangkok).

THEN, the best part of the day /now evening was to finally arrive at Faith House and meet these precious girls! We arrived to the sound of their voices singing praises to God.  After introductions all around, prayers, and worship, we come to the end of our day-very tired, and praying we can get a restful start to our week. Please pray for good sleep, our health, and our hearts as we give and receive this week. May we honor God in our words, may the few girls who will interpret this week be blessed through our words, may we be receptive to their needs, be flexible, and truly give of ourselves in ways that bring praises to our Savior.
