Great ministry happening here this week.

Our final night at Faith House tonight in the first picture.

Second picture is a new girl from Myanmar who arrived TODAY at Faith House. Our team got to witness how they welcomed her with open arms and care and comfort into a new environment where she’s safe and secure away from the bombs that are dropping 15 minutes from here.

Whew… what a day. We started our day off by inviting about 30 more kids into our time together with the Faith house girls. For a total of 75 people in our camp sessions. Heather did a lesson on God‘s creation and how we are created in his image. And Brenda followed on with a lesson about how we’re created uniquely special, and loved by God called to his family and as we are children of God. Our fingerprint is uniquely made to us and so we did a fingerprint art activity to reinforce that concept. Followed up by fantastic games by Traci and Bill. The theme song for the day was PRAISE by Elevation Worship. This evening Heather presented a lesson on good hygiene and how to avoid mistakes of touching your hands to your face and cleanliness. Glenn finished our evening with a discussion on shame and guilt and how Jesus is not ashamed of us. Followed by a bonfire, which is appropriate for any team camp. God very much blessed our day with an air-conditioned large activity room so we could be inside during all of this as it was 110° outside today.

Thank you for your prayers surrounding this team. God is on the move here. We’re praying for reached souls tomorrow as we present the gospel to them.

Blessings and Love
Brenda  & Team

We started off the day with Church at Faith House. Then left for a resort for a few days. This is a very special getaway for the girls as they don’t leave Faith House much. After some time in the pool and a nice dinner, Glenn and Bill led a discussion on safe traits to look for in a boyfriend or husband, followed by a crowning ceremony as we are princesses of the most high king (Hebrews 2:7)

What a joy to be at Faith House. Our team received a warm welcome complete with flowers. Even the many new girls are saying “We love you!” And we say it right back!

--------

We joined them Sunday morning for a beautiful worship service led by the girls. The theme of the sermon by the new pastor was wisdom. Hmmm. Our team devotions include Eph. 1:7-8 ”In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding.“

Listening to them sing is a bit of heaven on earth. We then headed off to a little resort area where we would help the girls lead an outreach camp for the refugee children. Today was preparing and planning for that camp but of course also swimming.

There are 50 million human trafficked people in our world today. We can’t rescue all of them. But we can bring hope and healing to these 50 precious girls here at Faith House rescued from war-torn Myanmar.

Seeing them embrace their faith and have hope for the future is exciting. When you ask them who are you in unison they exclaim “I am a child of God!” Tonight Bill and Glenn led a great discussion on dangerous traits for a boyfriend or husband and safe traits. Maria chimed in to bring some application to things that had happened to some of these girls.

Tomorrow begins the outreach camp where the gospel will be clearly explained. Please pray for the salvation of those who don’t yet know Jesus

We are in Bangkok getting ready for our last flight to Faith House. This is a meeting to finalize the details of our week ahead. We are ready!

We made it to Mea Sot, Thailand today. So enjoyed meeting all of the new girls at Faith house and introducing the team to Faith house here in Thailand. Tomorrow we look forward to church in the morning and then preparing for our camp with the village children in the afternoon. Thank you for your prayers, they matter and we appreciate it so much.

This was written while we were sitting in Bangkok waiting to leave.  Unfortunetly, we couldn't post it because we couldn't connect to the internet.  We are home now and still marveling at all God did on this trip.

Highlights from our trip:

Teach the book of Esther and have the girls act it out.

Teach a painting class and bring supplies for 28 girls to learn how.

Take them to a resort for fun and to swim – something they rarely get to do.

Go deeper in their identity in Christ through lessons from Known by Aubrey Sampson.

Throw a lavish banquet to finish our time together – Just like Esther!

We are at the Bangkok airport waiting to return home from an amazing week with the Faith house girls and in Chaing Mai. It has been an amazing week seeing miracles all around.  Here are a few to share:

We flew over 10,000 miles each way with 8 people and over 700 lbs of luggage, and nothing got lost or damaged.

We decided to bring 28 Chromebook laptops in a prior planning meeting, and guess how many girls are at Faith House right now? 28

Brenda’s mom made cute PJ bottoms for the girls at Faith House that we brought with us. Guess how many she made? 28

We had the largest group of men ever to come to Thailand, and they spoke to the girls about what it is to be a Godly man and how to be safe on social media. As these girls get older, they are thinking about dating and marriage.

We have had eight people together for 10 days staying in one place for no more than three days, and everyone was on time, had no major conflicts, and nobody got sick.

So, do you believe in miracles? God has watched over us in a mighty way. Thank you for your prayers, support, and encouragement. Such a joy to be the hands and feet of Jesus and a light in the darkness.

This is our group with the college girls in Chiang Mai.
