Ministries at South Hills Bible Chapel

Adult Classes - Our adult classes, also known as Adult Bible Fellowships (ABFs) meet each week during the worship services to learn more about the Bible and how to walk with Christ. Classes are generally organized by life stage or teaching style. All members within an ABF enjoy fellowship outside of the regular classes and plan social activities throughout the year.

Bible Institute - We believe that a believer in Christ must strive for continual growth in each of the Five Essentials: WORD, WORSHIP, CONNECT, SERVE, and SHARE. The Bible Institute offers Wednesday evening classes designed to develop followers of Christ in one of these five areas.

Care Giving Ministries - One of the responsibilities of the church is to care for its flock. As its shepherds, the Board of Elders of South Hills Bible Chapel established the Caregiving Ministry Team (CGT) in 2003. Our purpose is to follow the elders directive, and pray for and contact individuals within our community of believers who are known to be facing various suffering and trials to minister to them.

Children's Ministries - Children are a blessing from the Lord and we are thankful that God has entrusted us with the spiritual care of these children. See what’s happening for your children - Vacation Bible School (VBS), Fall Fest, and more!

Concert Ministries - Music touches the heart. From ancient times to King David's harp and lyre to modern artists of every genre, music has always been mankind’s most poignant medium to stir the soul. SHBC's goal is to host 6-8 Contemporary Christian Music artists per year.

Connections Café - The Connections Café is a special place to sit and relax, have a meeting, chat with some friends, or do a little work with our free Wi-Fi access. During operations, we offer a wide variety of coffee drinks, teas, regular cold beverages, and an assortment of baked goods and snacks.

Library - The mission of the Library at SHBC is to support the work and values of SHBC by collecting and cataloguing media (books, audios and videos) of interest to adults, teens, and children.

Medical Response Ministry (MRM)– a unique ministry at SHBC, this team provides medical care in case of injury or emergency.

Men's Ministries - Our Men’s Ministries exist to equip men for service, to sponsor community evangelical events, to promote activities that will support SHBC’s vision, and to provide an atmosphere of fellowship and accountability. We offer many special events throughout the year – weekend retreats, spring car show, annual Thanksgiving Breakfast, and more - take a look at what’s happening in Men’s Ministries!

Missions - Our vision is to be a Christ centered, Spirit controlled community of believers that faithfully preach, teach and apply the written word of God with authority and relevance in the greater Pittsburgh area and throughout the world.

Preschool - As a Christian preschool, we believe in the value of integrating Biblical truths into everyday learning experiences.

Radio Ministry - Since August 2000, it has been our privilege to share the message of Jesus Christ with the Greater Pittsburgh Area via the radio ministry of SHBC.

Spiritual Life Journal – The Spiritual Life Journal gives you guidance in digging deeper in to God’s Word and allowing His truth to go to work in our lives.

Women's Ministries - This ministry provides women of all ages opportunities for spiritual growth, encouragement, Bible teaching, as well as opportunities to exercise their giftedness through ministry. Annual conferences, weekly Bible studies, mentoring, and sports are just some of the ways you can connect with other women through SHBC.

Youth Ministries - Our purpose is to "relentlessly win, build, and equip teenagers so THEY can reach the South Hills for Christ!" Join your friends at SHBC weekly and for our special events – Teen Madness, Avalanche, and weekend retreats, to name just a few!
