Support
As part of the Jesus’ Church, we are commanded to care for the various physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our members and attendees. With Colossians 1:28-29 as our guide and goal, we offer care to our community of believers, who are facing various sufferings and trials. Care Giving Ministries’ prayer is that we will reflect the grace and love of Jesus, and through Him real restoration and renewing will occur.
There are multiple ways members and regular attenders of SHBC receive care. While the primary care support is received through the individual’s connection within an Adult Ministry support group, (Small Group, Adult Bible Fellowship, Men’s and/or Women’s), there are also various support and additional ministries that are available.

Would you like to strengthen, possibly save, or fireproof your marriage? Reconciling God’s Way is a marriage class led by Lou and Joyce Motter that will help you learn tools and techniques to reconcile your marriage and bring hope and healing. We will examine examples of marriages in crisis and learn how they resolved their issues. You will actively participate by doing your homework assignments and reviewing them during table time in class, and meeting weekly with your support partner.
This class will be held at SHBC in Rooms 141-142 on Thursday evenings from 7:00–8:30 p.m. beginning December 4 and ending March 4, 2009 (no classes on Christmas Day or New Years Day). Cost for the class is free, but there is a fee for materials. The fee is $39.22 per person, which covers the cost of three books: Yes, Your Marriage Can Be Saved, the workbook and the support partner handbook. If you have already purchased any of these books, there will be no need to purchase another. Table leaders will not need to purchase the support partner handbook.
