Small Groups
Welcome to Small Groups
Creating significant relationships for people doing life together with God’s Word!
All of us need to GROW and to KNOW. We do this best in small groups. We all need to have close friends and to apply God’s Word. We learn to do this best in a safe place, where we can practice the “one another’s.”
Love one another,
laugh with one another,
and cry with one another.
We need each other as we grow and know together!
“A small group is a wonderful opportunity to have significant relationships. The warmth, love, and friendship that is felt carries us through the good and hard times.”

What do small groups do anyway?
Small groups are groups of 10—14 people who come together regularly to encourage and pray for one another, to develop friendships and to apply God’s Word to their lives. In a small group, you will find support, encouragement, prayer, and develop close relationships.
What happens in a small group?
Groups meet for about two hours weekly or biweekly. Meetings include a social time, a life application study, sharing and a prayer time.
Do I have to be a member of SHBC, or be familiar with the Bible to join a small group?
Absolutely not! Small Groups welcome people with a willingness to grow in relationships with people, and to grow in their knowledge of God’s Word applied in their everyday lives!
